Mae’s Crafty Creations

Meow...Meow...

Today is Nic's first day school.  He is now a junior at Puyallup High School.  A JUNIOR.  That means only this year and next.  Two more years before college and he keeps mentioning colleges in New York.  We live on the west coast y'all and he is interested in the east coast.  That is far away from home.  I get being on your own but mom will have to visit no matter what, no matter where.  I have never visited the east coast and would love the chance but I will be flying across country a lot!!!

Shirley's 2 Girls is devoting this month to all the wonderful critters out there.  My image features this sweet fluffy kitty on her flocked pillow.  She looks so comfy.
I embossed my cardstock using my nesties to showcase my image.  I added these rhinestone swirls and fun polka dot ribbon.  This is the first time I have embossed cardstock and will keep at it.  It is fun learning new techniques from others.  That is what this whole hobby is about.  Over at S2G we have weekly challenges for everyone to share their work and possibly win a free digi.  We have also started a tutorial page so stop on over to see something new.

Have a great Thursday!

Hi Mae,
I've spent my life on the East Coast so I can tell you that if you come out here you'll find so much to do you may forget to visit your son.
Your card features my lovely fat cat Shamus, he is not sweet and fluffy - he would bite you for saying that. He's a rough, tough and ready big bad boy!
Loved seeing him grace your card.

Your card is so pretty!

So, your baby is growing up---hard to wrap your mind around, isn't it?! Still two years, he may change his mind about going so far away. Enjoy the moment!

Your card is so sweet and love the bling behind the kitty. I can sympathize with you and your son, mine started school last year while we lived on the east coast, we then moved to TX and he stayed on the east coast, then got a summer job so didn't come back. From experience it will work out just fine, but will take some time to get use to.

I love your card! The kitty reminds me of my kitty, Benjamin...he is 18 pounds and a chubby mess! I really like the bling behind the image, such a fun accent! :)
