A June Christmas Blog Hop

Merry June-Christmas and welcome to the Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop.  I you arrived from Lori Palmer's blog you are on the right track.  I am next on the list.  Today I am sharing with you this sweet Tilda image.  Don't you just love her coat?  What fun things you can do with this.  I love the fact I could use non-traditional colors.  Even though Christmas mainly is reds and greens, I used this wonderful Basic Grey paper pack called Eskimo Kisses and sure enough they used pinks, light blues, soft greens along with the more traditional reds & greens.
I was shocked at how many copics I really ended up using and did I write them down before I put them away...NO.  Next time I will do better.  Promise.  It is a little late for me - not like putting this off to the last minute and I need to hit the hay for work tomorrow.
Here she is all close and personal.  I tried to straighten the picture but my photo program isn't the best for editing.  I am using Corel Photo Album 7 and would love your suggestions.  I don't think I need something too high tech just easier to work with.

You can visit the Christmas blog for a full listing of all the participants along with a neat slide show of our projects.  Now it is time to hop on over to Marcia's blog.  Thanks for stopping by! Hugz.

Father's Day Take 2...

This is the Father's Day card I made for my hubby.  I used another one of Karen's Doodles images called Time to Relax.  This is a great visual for my guy.  We have the hammock and pillow (purchased at Pottery Barn) but our weather has just been the worst lately and he has not been able to put up his posts.  He has decided to build a pergola above it.  I know is will be super.  He decided no screws or nails...he will be using mortice and tendons.  He is a wood worker at heart.
I kept it simple so he could just see himself already taking a nap. If only our pup was as good as this one.  With us completing the back yard, putting in flowers & plants and leveling the dirt for hydorseed (IF it ever stops raining) Zoom thinks he can just start to dig in the planter areas and all over the yard.  Tomorrow while I am at work and Nic is at football camp he will be in time out!  In his kennel in the garage watching soaps.  That will show him who is boss!!!

Just a close up for ya.  Our hammock is great red sunbrella fabric so I decided the rope should match.  How peaceful.

Happy Father's Day #1

I found a new digi artist called Karen's Doodles and this wonderful image is called Top Chef and totally fits my dad.  He works in the food distribution industry and is a wizard at the grill.
I used the It's A Guy's Thing papers from CTMH and did some hand stitching as an added touch.  I don't have a ton of male embellishments so I added some buttons.  My dad received it in time and was even going to fire up the grill tonight.  I tried to keep the card simple.

Here is a close up of the chef with his trusty friend waiting for something to fall on the ground. All he needs is some chicken and vegetable kabobs.  That would be super yummy.  Now...if our rain would stop we just might be able to do some grilling.
