Today is the start of Nic's spring break plus Steve & I also took the day off. I love relaxing three day weekends. I was able to finish Hell's Corner by David Baldacci, catch up on laundry that had been put aside and play in my craft room. Our weather has been dry all day so Zoom and I went for a walk around the neighborhood. This morning was sunny with blue skies but the clouds have since rolled back in (bummer)! You have to take advantage of the sun while you can during this time of year. I am ready to move out of the 50's and into the 70's and 80's.
I completed New Home by Victoria Case for SCACD. I am working on my Easter cards and thought this one was perfect. Such a versatile image. I just love being able to use my stamps for more than one occasion, don't you?
Such a cutie. I kept the card clean and simple and pulled out my For Peep's Sake * Hot Chicks DP by Imaginisce and used cardstock by PTI.
Have a wonderful evening & a great Tuesday. Thanks for stoppin by!
TGI FRIDAY!!!
Happy Friday to y'all. I am looking forward to another three day weekend. It's a nice change to sleep in one extra day. Not much planned for the weekend except to catch up on laundry. Our dryer gave up the ghost and since a new dryer would not match the old washer we now have a brand new matching set. My hubby is just so picky but I can guarantee you he won't be doing any laundry...hehe. He just need them to match. My MIL is the same way so she didn't help my case about buying just a dryer.
Today I am sharing another card I made for the CMC Birthday Bash. The digi was a freebie from Karen's Doodles. I happened upon her site and really love her images. They are really cute and she offers freebies often. I have already saved her newest and hope to work on it this weekend.
You would never those swirls are placed just so to hide a couple of mistakes would you. Don't you just loves those faces? Adorable.

Wednesday Take's the Cake
I am sharing a card I made for a friend's30th birthday wayyy back in December. I completely forgot to post this to my blog after I made it. I was happy to make something that wasn't holiday colors or theme. I love the holidays but I really need to start making my Christmas cards all through out the year.
I picked up this free digi while blog surfing & couldn't resist this super cute image. I love how luscious this cake looks and that little mouse having a taste...just precious. I kept the card simple and sweet mainly because I did this one last minute. I need to plan much better from now on. It might take me three to four hours right now to make one card but hopefully I will become faster. I find by scraplifting from others helps a ton. I use their inspiration and add my own flair. Always with acknowledgement though.

You Miss Me???
Has it really been since December 23rd since I last posted to my blog? Hard to believe it has been that long. Also just as hard to believe it has been that long since I enjoyed creating a card. There are many reasons why but I won't bore you with the details. I am back in the swing of things and excited to share this fun spring/summer time image from Victoria Case for SCACD. This stamp is called Lazy Days and I was fortunate enough to win this new release last year. I realized I had not inked up any of them yet...bad, bad Mae.
The layout is from Suzanne's Color Me Creative Classroom 1st Birthday Bash. There were two challenges and I tied them together into one card. The other challenge was to use yellows, purples, creams/whites. My bases card is white then I used Stampin Up cardstock and BasicGrey Wisteria patterned paper. I also, for the first time, used my Marianne Design dies and my copics.
Here is a close up of this cutie. I just love her hat. I personally don't wear hats (they muss the hair you know) but if I had one this nice I sure would. I cut the image out and popped it up with foam squares. Helps it stand out more, don't you think.
I even completed the inside of the card. I normally don't but I had extra dies and didn't want to waste them. Now the card is complete...just needs a note or sentiment. I even used my Martha Stewart edges punch for the first time. So tell me what you think. It felt good to get back in the game!!!
